max passes ards test

On Friday 19th February Max Coates passed his ARDS (Association of Racing Drivers Schools) test. The test comprimised a written exam testing the youngster on flags, safety and general racing knowledge. After the written test Max took to the greasy Croft race Curcuit for some one-to-one training with Instructor Phil House. Then it was time for the driving part of the test in which Max had to drive for 4 laps at a quick pace without making mistakes.

Max sailed through and got 100% on the written exam and then went on to excel in his driving test. The grading criteria for this part of the exam was A, for excellent, B, for good and C for poor. Max obtained 9 A's, and 2 B's. "I was really pleased with the result, the track was really green and greasy and I was pleased not to spin, overall I don't think it well considering I've been on a track once before."

Max's instructor on the day also commented on the school boy's driving "He's already quicker than some of the guys I teach."
